Montgomery Homes Since 1997

For over a decade Montgomery Homes has been partnering with individuals, couples and families to help them build the house of their dreams. Since 1997 Montgomery has build more than 300 homes in Orangeville, Shelburne, Stayner and surrounding areas.

Owners Albert and Kristin Bax, collectively have over 40 years experience in the new homes housing trade. Their commitment to Quality craftsmanship and only the highest level in customer service has awarded them with a loyal customer following.

One thing you can be sure of, Albert and Kristin are “hands on”. They’ll be working with you and for you, at every stage of the building process, from the first initial planning stage, to the final inspections and then continuing with after sales service.  Albert learned long ago that satisfied customers tend to become repeat customers.

Montgomery Homes has an excellent rating with the Tarion  Home Warranty Corporation, the regulators of the new home building industry in Ontario.

Albert and Kristin live, shop, work and play in the same local areas that they have chosen to build their homes and communities in.

Our History

Albert Bax

Albert Bax is the president and owner of Montgomery Homes. Albert has been involved in the new home housing trade for over 25 years. At age 15 he was part of the construction crew of Thomasfield Homes in Guelph. He was later promoted to crew foreman. At 18 years of age Albert worked on the framing crews and was soon laying out, which resulted in him again being promoted to crew foreman, being responsible for the crew and site production.

In 1987, Albert started his own business of new home construction and renovations that resulted in working for several prominent builders in the Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo area and also included private clients. In 1995, Albert joined Bax Vintage Homes of Orangeville and was project manager of over several hundred homes in the Drayton, Fergus and Orangeville areas.

In 1997, Albert was approached by River Oaks Homes to help build the Montgomery Village site in Orangeville, and started a joint venture that soon materialized to Albert becoming the sole owner of Montgomery Village Homes. Since then Montgomery Homes has build more than 300 homes in Orangeville, Shelburne, Stayner and surrounding area.

Albert enjoys being 'hands on' and being available to his customer’s to ensure great communication and customer service.


Kristin Bax

Kristin Bax is the Secretary treasurer and co owner of Montgomery Homes and has been in the new home housing trade for over 15 years.

Starting from the ground up, as a teen Kristin started and ran a cleaning crew to service the new home industry. Her experience employing staff and running a residence oriented business propelled her to move into decorating model homes and further assisting home owners with their colour schemes and décor selections.
 
With a passion for the industry Kristin soon became colour/décor manager and then moved on to new home sales. Kristin held several sales positions with (area) homebuilders where she also worked in accounting and estimate departments. Not to mention within this time raising two great children.

Kristin now manages the main office, sales and marketing, accounting and the decorating of our model homes. Her extensive knowledge and experience is one of Montgomery’s greatest assets.
