Building Your HomeAll houses are built in stages and are done so according to a critical path. At all times your homes construction program will be scheduled and monitored by our qualified staff, site supervisors and the builder. - Footings and Foundations
The process of building your home begins from the ground up with excavation, followed by pouring of the concrete for the footings and foundation walls. - Framing and Carpentry
Initial framing of your home is the next step. Subfloors are constructed and then the walls of all the rooms are framed. Soon thereafter, a roof is constructed. Windows and doors are installed and the roof is shingled. - Mechanical Systems
Skilled trades’ people will now install your homes plumbing, heating and electrical systems. - Exterior Finishing
Brickwork and exterior cladding are now added. - Interior Finishing
Insulation, drywall and flooring are now installed. Plumbing fixtures are installed. Cabinets trim and mouldings are now installed, along with all interior doors. Walls and wood work are primed and painted, carpet is installed and your new home is on its way to being ready. - Grading
Grading directs water away from the foundation due to settlement caused by reconsolidation of the soils excavated during construction. It may still be necessary to re-adjust the grading, even after you have moved into your new home. - Quality Assurance Inspection
Before your final walk-through, Montgomery conducts its own inspection to insure everything is in proper working order and up to quality standards. Any and all repairs are done if needed and the home is thoroughly cleaned in preparation for the pre-delivery inspection (PDI). - Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)
When your new home is complete, we will invite you to have a tour of your new home room-by-room to ensure your satisfaction with the workmanship and materials. - Follow up
Montgomery Homes will check back with you from time to time to see how you are enjoying your home and to see if you have any questions regarding your home.
Inspections Our staff inspects your new home at every stage of the construction process as well as Municipal building officials, hydro, natural gas, heating and plumbing authorities will also carry out their own additional inspections to ensure that only the highest quality standards are met.
